"Size. Overall length (sbl) 13.8-14.3mm, greatest width over elytra 5.3mm. Color. Dorsal and ventral surfaces black, legs, mouthparts, and antennomeres 1-4 black to piceous, 5 infuscated, antennomeres 6-11 paler. Dorsally with very slight metallic purple reflex, more evident on head and pronotum. Luster. Dorsal surface shiny, ventral surface slightly duller."
