Achlydosa glandulosa is an endemic terrestrial orchid, widespread in Grande-Terre in New-Caledonia. Achlydosa glandulosa occurs in humid forest, savana or even in shrubland at an altitudinal range 150-1,200 m asl. This species does not seem directly threatened. Achlydosa glandulosa is considered Least Concern (LC).

Some subpopulations may be threatened by mining activities: Tiebaghi (SLN), Koniambo (KNS). However, this species does not seem globally threatened.
