Vincetoxicum biglandulosum is an indigenous species from New Caledonia largely distributed across the Grande Terre as well as Ile des Pins. This species is very common in New Caledonia and is an ubiquist species growing on 3 main substrates (ultramafic, volcano-sedimentary and calcareous substrates) and habitats (dry forests, humid forests and shrubland). It occurs at an altitude range of 2 and 600 m asl. The high decline of dry forest and the bushfire threats towards the south western populations are the main threats for this species. Despite having an Area of Occupancy (AOO) and an Extent of Occurrence (EOO) equal to 336 and 72,913 km² respectively, Vincetoxicum biglandulosuma is considered to be a common species in New Caledonia. It is not thought to approach the conditions for listing as threatened under any criterion and is listed as Least Concern (LC).
