Myodocarpus nervatus is an endemic shrub restricted to the north west of Grande Terre, from Mé Ori (southern limit) to Kaala massif (upper limit). This species occurs in high elevation maquis on ultramafic substrate at an altitude range of 540 to 1,400 m asl. Its habitat is impacted by recurrent bushfires and mining activities on the Koniambo and Kopeto massifs. Its Area of Occupancy (AOO) and Extent of Occurrence (EOO) being respectively estimated to be 180 and 2,013 km², Myodocarpus nervatus is considered Near Threatened (NT) close to VU B1ab (i,ii,iii,v)+2ab(i,ii,iii,v) with an estimated decline of all the concerned sub-criteria and a number of locations above 10.

Myodocarpus nervatus is endemic to New Caledonia where it is restricted to the north west of Grande Terre, from Mé Ori (southern limit) to Kaala massif (upper limit).

Population


The population size is not known.

Conservation
