Acropogon schistophilus is an endemic tree of the north-east part of Grande Terre in New Caledonia. It is found in dense humid forest on a volcano-sedimentary substrate at an altitude of 500-1,200 m asl. This species does not seem directly threatened. A. schistophilus is considered Least Concern (LC).

Population


This species is locally abundant.

Habitat

Conservation


Protected species by legislation in province Nord, A. schistophilus is known from réserve naturelle du massif du Panié.
