Utricularia uliginosa is an autochtonous carnivorous herb of New Caledonia, restricted to southern Grande Terre. It occurs in wetlands at an altitudinal range 200-300 m asl. This species does not seem directly threatened. Its area of occupancy (AOO) and extent of occurrence (EOO) being respectively estimated to 32 and 952 km², Utricularia uliginosa is considered Near Threatened (NT) close to VU D2.

Geographical area


Utricularia uliginosa is an autochtonous carnivorous herb of New Caledonia, restricted to southern Grande Terre (Plaine des Lacs, Mamié). This species is salso foun in the south western Asia, the pacific islands and Australia.

Population


Population size is unknown. It is common in wetlands of the massif du Sud.

Habitat


It occurs in wetlands at an altitudinal range 200-300 m asl.

Threats


This species does not seem directly threatened.

Conservation


Unprotected by legislation, this species is not known of any protected areas.
