Data Deficient (DD) , assessed in 29/02/2016Myrsine nigricans ssp. ouinensis is an endemic shrub of New Caledonia. This sub-species is insufficiently known. It is known of one observation on the slopes of Mont-Ouin. It is found in forest or shrubland on ultramafic substrate at an altitude of 1100 m asl. The genus needs a taxonomic clarification. Therefore, Myrsine nigricans ssp. ouinensis is assigned as Data Deficient (DD) for taxonomic and provenance reasons.
