Phreatia oubatchensis is an endemic orchid only known from the type collection at Oubatche where it grows in on the eastern coast of Grande Terre in New Caledonia. It is found in humid forest on volcano-sedimentary substrate. This taxon is insufficiently collected and not well known. Phreatia oubatchensis is therefore assessed as Data Deficient (DD) for provenance reasons.
