Description

Pileus: centrally depressed; 30 - 40 mm diameter; glabrous, greasy; creamy white to pale fawn; margin split and inrolled.

Stipe: cylindrical; 20 - 45 × 4 – 8mm; glabrous; pale fawn.

Gills: decurrent; moderately spaced; cream; lamellulae in two series.

Flesh: white.

Spore print: white.

Spores: not recorded.

Notes: this Hygrophorus does not readily fit any of the species described by Horak or Young. Sequencing suggests it is in the Hygrophoraceae but not close to Hygrophorus s.s.

Support

Growing in litter in wet forest.
