Description

Pileus: conical then convex, usually with umbonate; 15 – 50 mm diameter: minutely fibrillose; dry; blue green, green, yellow green; margin faintly striate.

Stipe: cylindrical; 7 – 20 × 1 – 2 mm; innately fibrillose; bluish pink; shiny.

Gills: adnexed to free; crowded; pale blue, turning pink, edge even.

Flesh: blue green, yellow green.

Spore print: pink.                       

Spores: quadrate; 8 – 10 µm.

Notes: this Entoloma is recognized by its fibrillose blue green cap with bright blue gills. There are some doubts about whether the collections of this fungus from various localities in the pacific region are all one variable species or a range of related ones.
