Distribution

Known only from the type locality: New Caledonia, North Province, 20–30 km W Poindimié, first pass-road to Pombeï, 350 m a.s.l.

HAbitat

"This species was found in dense mats of aquatic plants in a very slowly flowing stream, about one meter deep, with turbid water, boggy bottom, sandy and loamy banks, together with various other hydrophilids and dytiscids (Exocelina spp., Hydrovatus opacus SHARP)." (Komarek 2010).
