Description
According to the New Caledonian Compendium of Molluscs (Compendium Mollusca Caledonia Heros et al 2007), only Pteria penguin (Röding, 1798) is listed here, but no update has been made for decades, this occurrence being based only on the book Laboute & Richer de Forges (2004), and it is highly probable that many species of Pteria co-exist in our waters, identification remaining delicate without genetics.
