Description

Description:

A medium sized gecko. The head is unusually long and wide. The digits are moderately long with expanded pads underneath, and the claw of the digit arising from the anterior end of each pad. Between the digits webbing is only rudimentary. The tail is moderately long and just shorter than the body length, and is covered by numerous small similar sized scales.

 

Distribution:

The genus Oedodera is endemic to New Caledonia.

 

Included species:

Oedoedura marmorata Bauer, Jackman, Sadlier & Whitaker, 2006.

 

Current research (Bauer & Jackman pers. com.) indicates that further species remain to be described.
