Caledonian species are briefly mentioned in James Edward HOGAN's thesis (PhD Thesis, Oxford Brookes University, 2012), "Taxonomy, Systematics and Biogeography of the Scaritinae (Insecta, Coleoptera, Carabidae)" The author highlights the phylogenetic similarities with the species of Madagascar, explaining the current long-range distribution of Scaritidae in the world according to the disposition of the land masses in Gondwana.
