Description
"A single species of the genus known from southwest Melanesia (Vanuatu and Caledonian archipelagos), morphologically close in the genus to only one other geographically distant: A. hindenburgi (Kriesche, 1921), endemic to Western Samoa. At Aegus legroupe of species thus characterized, specific to the Southwest Pacific, comes from speciations by island isolation and is native to the Malaysian region. "
