Description
"The Sisyphus are cosmopolitan, but absent from the Australian region: the Sisyphus of New Caledonia were introduced voluntarily, and first in Bourail, in 1978, on the Pantaloni station, as was also done in Australia, to regulate the flow of excrement generated by animal husbandry.
They are rollers of excrement balls from which they feed and from which they make pedotrophic nests buried, or sometimes left on the surface, hanging on a blade of grass. "
