 South of Grande Terre, reported from Mont. Humboldt south of the North Forest.

Collecting areas range from 70 m along the Tontouta River to 1500 m on the slopes of Mt. Humboldt. This species occurs at an altitude of between 580 and 1,500 m at Mt. Humboldt, in a lowland forest, mountain rainforest, and high altitude scrubland (Muel-Lomb-Dombois and Fosberg 1998). in the litter under Callitris neocaledonica Dümmer.
