Length 3.5 to 5mm. Body relatively short, rounded, convex, relatively small, black, with recumbent pubescence and brushes of erect bristles thicker.

R. PAULIAN suggests that the larvae could develop in the axils of these tree-like monocots as is the case in certain species of Scarabaeidae in Guyana.
