Earina valida is a native terrestrial orchid of New Caledonia, widespread in Grande Terre, from Colnett in the north to forêt de la Thy in the south of Grande Terre. It occurs in humid forest or, more rarely, in shrubland at an altitudinal range 550-1,450 m asl. Earina valida is considered Least Concern (LC).

Threats
This species does not seem globally threatened. Some subpopulations may be threatened by mining activities: Koniambo (KNS).
