Pandanus reticulatus is an endemic shrub of New Caledonia widespread across Grande Terre. It occurs in dense humid forest on volcano-sedimentary and ultramafic rocks at an altitudinal range of 235-670 m asl. Its minimum extent of occurrence (EOO) and area of occupancy (AOO) are 8,383 and 56 km², respectively. P. reticulatus does not seem significantly threatened and is considered Least Concern (LC).

Habitat


P. reticulatus occurs in dense humid forest on volcano-sedimentary and ultramafic rocks at an altitudinal range of 235-670 m asl.

Threats


This species does not seem threatened but some subpopulations may be impacted by fire and mining activities: Koniambo (KNS), Poum (SLN).

Conservation


P. reticulatus is protected by legislation in Province Nord. This species is found in several protected areas: Barrage de Yaté, Pic du grand Kaori, Rivière bleue, Haute Yaté.
