Kermadecia sinuata is endemic tree from New Caledonia growing up to 30 m high. It is distributed from the center to the north of Grande Terre. This species occurs in forest on volcano-sedimentary, more rarely on ultramafic substrate. Its altitudinal range is from 90 to 1,000 m asl. K. sinuaata has an Extent of Occurrence (EOO) equal to 5,264 km² and a minimum Area of Occupancy (AOO) of 244 km², but it does not appear to be threatened. Therefore, Kermadecia sinuata is assessed as Least Concern (LC).

Kermadecia sinuata is endemic to New Caledonia and it is distributed from the center to the north of Grande Terre.

Population size is unknown.

Habitat


Kermadecia sinuata occurs in forest on volcano-sedimentary, more rarely on ultramafic substrate. Its altitudinal range is from 90 to 1,000 m asl.

Threats


This species does not seem to be threatened although some subpopulations may be threatened by bushfires.

Conservation


Kermadecia sinuata is not protected by legislation in New Caledonia and it does occur in 3 protected areas : Aoupinié, Mont Panié, Parc des Grandes Fougères.
