Data Deficient (DD) , assessed in 07/04/2017Sphenostemon balansae is an endemic tree of New Caledonia, which under current knowledge, is known from a single locality from Balansa in 1869 in central Grande Terre (Nékou). It would occur in mesophilous forest at low altitude. This taxon is insufficiently collected and not well known. Sphenostemon balansae is therefore assessed as Data Deficient (DD) for provenance reasons.
