A relatively common species scattered throughout southern and central New Caledonia occurring at 50 to 900 m asl.

The population is stable and and it is relatively common.
Habitat
Grows in lowland forest on ultramafic soils especially along river banks and in humid depressions.
Threats
There are no known major threats to this species.
Conservation
This species is known to occur in protected areas such as Montagne des Sources
