Diospyros fasciculosa is an autochtonous tree/small tree of New Caledonia widespread in Grande Terre, the Loyauté islands and the Isle des Pins. Diospyros fasciculosa occurs in forest on various substrates at an altitudinal range 0 - 850 m asl. This species does not seem directly threatened. Diospyros fasciculosa is considered Least Concern (LC).
