It occurs in shrubland or forest at high altitude (700 - 1,300 m asl) on ultramafic substrate. This species does not seem directly threatened. Polyscias weinmanniae is considered Least Concern (LC).

Polyscias weinmanniae is an endemic small tree of New Caledonia spread in the south part of Grande Terre (from Montagne des Sources to To N'Deu).

Population size is unknown.
Habitat
It occurs in shrubland or forest at high altitude (700 - 1,300 m asl) on ultramafic substrate.
Threats
This species does not seem directly threatened thanks to its altitudinal habitat.
Conservation
Polyscias weinmanniae is not protected by local legislation. It occurs in 3 protected areas : Montagne des sources, Massif du Kouakoué, Mont Humboldt
