Alloteropsis semialata is an autochtonous species of New Caledonia, which under current knowledge, is only known from Tchiaor at Diahot valley. It was collected by Balansa more than 150 years ago. It would occur on grassy hills at around 600 m asl. This taxon is insufficiently collected and not well known. Alloteropsis semialata is therefore assessed as Data Deficient (DD) for taxonomic reasons.

The threats are not known.

Conservation


Alloteropsis semialata is not protected by legislation in New Caledonia and it does not occur in any protected area. It is recommended to continue the efforts of prospection in the northern east part of Grande Terre
