Greslania circinata is a small endemic bambou from New Caledonia. It is only found in the south of Grande Terre, from Yaté-Mont-Dore area to Thio-Boulouparis area. This species occurs mainly on shrubland ridges and slopes. It is also present in open and low altudinal forest edges on ultramafic substrate between 200 and 1,624 m asl. This species is very common et it does not seem to be threatened. Its extent of occurrence (EOO) and area of occupancy (AOO) are estimated at 1,726 and 140 km², respectively. Therefore, Greslania circinata is listed as Least Concern (LC).

Population
Population size is unknown, but field observations indicate that this species is very common.
Habitat
Greslania circinata occurs mainly on shrubland ridges and slopes. It is also present in open and low altudinal forest edges on ultramafic substrate between 200 and 1,624 m asl.
Threats
This species is very common et it does not seem to be threatened.
Conservation
Greslania circinata is not protected by legislation in New Caledonia and it does occur in numerous protected areas : Mont Mou, Rivière bleue, Haute Yaté, Massif du Kouakoué, Montagne des sources, Mont Humboldt, Côte Oubliée, Forêt de Saille.
