Hibbertia baudouinii is an endemic tree of New Caledonia which appears to be restricted to the southern massifs of the main island, Grande Terre. With an EOO of 1,927 km2, an AOO of 96 km2 and around 12 known sub-populations (some of which occur within a protected area) Hibbertia baudouinii is assigned a status of Least Concern (LC).

Hibbertia baudouinii is an endemic tree of New Caledonia which appears to be restricted to the southern massifs of the main island, Grande Terre.
Population
Population size is unknown, but H. baudouinii is quite abundant when found.
Habitat
Hibbertia baudouinii occurs in dense humid forest and in middle and high altitude shrubland on ultramafic soils.
Threats
For each known station, H.baudouinii is quite abundant and does not seem threatened.
Conservation
Hibbertia baudouinii is not protected by legislation. It occurs in some protected areas (réserve naturelle de la forêt de Saille, réserve naturelle du Mont Humboldt, réserve naturelle du massif du Kouakoué, réserve naturelle du Mont Mou, réserve intégrale de la Montagne des Sources,réserve naturelle de la fausse Yaté, réserve naturelle du Mont Do, réserve naturelle de la Haute Pourina).
