Alyxia caletioides is an endemic shrub from New Caledonia restricted to the north west of Grande Terre, from Taom to Poum. It is found in shrubland on ultramafic soil up to 1,000 m asl. The population size of Alyxia caletioides is unknown. The main threats are bushfires and mining activities at Tiébaghi, Kaala Gomen and Ouazangou that cause habitat degradation. Its extent of occurrence (EOO) and area of occupancy (AOO) are 172 and 140 km², respectively, while the number of locations is estimated to be 9. Therefore, Alyxia caletioides is listed as Vulnerable (VU) under criteria B1ab (i,ii,iii,v)+B2ab(i,ii,iii,v) with a decline of all the concerned subcriteria.

Alyxia caletioides is endemic to New Caledonia where it is restricted to the north west of Grande Terre, from Taom to Poum.
Population
The population size is not known.
Habitat
Alyxia caletioides is found in shrubland on ultramafic soil up to 1,000 m asl.
Threats
The main threats are bushfires and mining activities at Tiébaghi, Kaala Gomen and Ouazangou that caused habitat degradation.
Conservation
Alyxia caletioides is protected by legislation in Province Nord and it does not occur in any protected areas. It is recommended to inform the DSCGR (government department overseeing firefighting actions) on the presence of the species in the concerned areas.
