Alyxia cylindrocarpa is a species endemic from New Caledonia with a large and scattered distribution across Grande Terre. It is known from Port Boisé at the far south to Kouaoua area and from Kopéto to Tiébaghi-Ouégoa area. This species occurs in humid forest and scrubland on ultramafic substrate up to 640 m asl. This species is a forest species and it does not seem to be threatened. With an Extent of Occurrence (EOO) equal to 12,417 km² and a minimum Area of Occupancy (AOO) of 148 km², Alyxia cylindrocarpa is assessed as Least Concern (LC).

Alyxia cylindrocarpa is endemic to New Caledonia where it has a large and scattered distribution across Grande Terre. It is known from Port Boisé at the far south to Kouaoua area and from Kopéto to Tiébaghi-Ouégoa area.
Population
The population size is not known.
Habitat
This species occurs in humid forest and scrubland on ultramafic up to 640 m asl.
Threats
This species is a forest species and it does not seem to be threatened.
Conservation
This species is protected by legislation in Province Nord and it does occur in three protected areas: la Dumbéa, Haute Dumbéa, Rivière bleue.
