Neoguillauminia cleopatra is an endemic tree of New Caledonia largely distributed from the central to the south of Grande Terre. It is found in humid forest on ultramafic substrate, from 20 to 1,000 m asl. With an extent of occurrence (EOO) equal to 5,229 km² and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 172 km², N. cleopatra is assessed as Least Concern (LC).

N. cleopatra is endemic to New Caledonia where it is largely distributed from the center to the south of Grande Terre.

Population


Population size is unknown.

Habitat


This species occurs in humid forest on ultramafic substrate, from 20 to 1,000 m asl.

Threats


This species does not seem to be threatened, although some subpopulations may be impacted by fires and mining activities (Kouaoua (SLN), Goro (VALE), Camp des sapins (SLN)).

Conservation


N. cleopatrais not protected by any legislation in New Caledonia, but it occurs in several protected areas: Forêt cachée, Barrage de Yaté, Bois du Sud, Haute Dumbéa, Haute Yaté, la Dumbéa, Pic du grand Kaori, Rivière bleue and Vallée de la Thy.
