Spiraeanthemum brongniartianum is an endemic shrub/tree of New Caledonia. It is found in forest (edges and undergrowth) on volcano-sedimentary substrate at mid and high altitude. This species does not seem directly threatened. Spiraeanthemum brongniartianum is considered Least Concern (LC).

Geographical area


Spiraeanthemum brongniartianum is widely spread across Grande Terre, from forêt de la Thy in the south to Pouébo in the north.

Population


Population size is unknown.

Habitat


It is found in forest (edges and undergrowth) on volcano-sedimentary substrate at mid and high altitude (400-1,250 m asl).

Threats


This species does not seem globally threatened.

Conservation


Unprotected by legislation, this species is found in several protected areas : Vallée de la Thy, Aoupinié, Mont Panié
