Geissois trifoliolata is an endemic shrub of Grande Terre in New Caledonia. It is found in forest on various substrates at an altitude of 300-1,000 m asl. This taxa is known of a few scatterred collections which may be hybrids. Waiting for taxonomic clarifications, this species is considered as Data Deficient (DD).
