Least Concern (LC) , assessed in 21/07/2016Pancheria phillyreoides is an endemic shrub/small tree of New Caledonia. It is found in shrubland and forest on ultramafic substrate at low and mid altitude. This species does not seem directly threatened. Pancheria phillyreoides is considered Least Concern (LC).
Geographical area
Pancheria phillyreoides is spread across Grande Terre, from the Koghis in the south to Kaala in the north.
Population
Population size is unknown.
Habitat
It is found in shrubland and forest on ultramafic substrate (including serpentine) at low and mid altitude (50-800 m asl).
Threats
This species does not seem globally threatened. Some subpopulations may be threatened by mining activities (Kaala, Taom, Koniambo, Kopéto, Thio, Tontouta).
Conservation
Unprotected by legislation, this species is found in two protected areas : la Dumbéa, Mont-Mou.
