Diospyros labillardierei occurs in dense humid forest at low altitude (0 - 400 m asl) on volcano-sedimentary substrate. This species does not seem directly threatened. Diospyros labillardierei is considered Least Concern (LC).

This species is common.
Habitat

This species does not seem directly threatened.
Conservation
This species is protected by legislation in Province Nord but not in Province Sud.
