Near Threatened (NT) , assessed in 02/03/2018Dubouzetia guillauminii is an endemic shrub from New Caledonia, where it is restricted to the summits of two massifs in the south of Grande Terre. It occurs in shrubland on ultramafic soil above 1,150 m asl. Known from 2 localities, its extent of occurrence (EOO) and area of occupancy (AOO) are 27 and 24 km², respectively. It is not threatened at the moment, but as it occurs in few localities at high altitudes, it could be impacted by climate change in the future. Therefore, D. guillauminii is precautionarily listed as Near Threatened, approaching the threshold for VU under criterion D2.

D. guillauminii is endemic to New Caledonia, where it is restricted to the summits of two massifs in the south of Grande Terre: Kouakoué and Humboldt.

Population size is unknown.
Habitat
D. guillauminii occurs in altitudinal shrubland on ultramafic soil ('maquis' vegetation) above 1,150 m asl.
Threats
No threat is known to this day. However, D. guillauminii could very well be impacted by climate change in the future, since it only occurs in high altitudes.
Conservation
This species is not protected by any legislation in New Caledonia, but it occurs in two protected areas: Massif du Kouakoué and Mont Humboldt.
