It is known only from the type specimen collected in 1967 in the Kalouéhola valley on serpentine soil. This area is potentially impacted by mining activities. It has never been relocated, but the species is poorly known and difficult to distinguish, so a clear assessment of its status is not possible at this time. Cryptocarya bitriplinervia is therefore assessed as Data deficient (DD).

Population size is unknown.
Habitat
It was collected on a serpentine soil at an altitude 50 m asl.

It was collected in an area potentially impacted by mining activities
Conservation
Cryptocarya bitriplinervia is legally protected in province Sud and province Nord. However, it is not known from any protected area. New prospections are recommended to relocate it and gather more information in order to assess its extinction risk.
