Beauprea filipes is a shrub endemic from New Caledonia. It has a large scattered distribution across the Grande Terre, from the southern limit at the Plaine des Lacs- Rivière des Pirogues to the upper limit at Atéou-Ouégoa in the north east. It grows only in forests and in undergrowth forests on non ultramafic and ultramafic substrates at an altitude range of 150-950 m asl. This species is a forest species and it does not seem to be threatened at the moment. With an Extent of Occurrence (EOO) and Area of Occupancy (AOO) respectively equal to 8,988 and 112 km², Beauprea filipes is not thought to approach the requirements for listing as threatened. It is listed as Least Concern (LC).

Population
The population size is not known. Field prospections indicate that the species is common.

Threats
This species is a forest species and it does not seem to be threatened at the moment.
Conservation
Beauprea filipes is not protected by legislation in New Caledonia and it does occur in several protected areas: Haute Yaté, Vallée de la Thy, Rivière bleue, Parc des Grandes Fougères, Aoupinié, Mont Panié.
