Psychotria cardiochlamys is an endemic shrub, widespread in Grande Terre from Poum in the north to Goro in the south of New Caledonia. Psychotria cardiochlamys occurs in forest and shrubland on ultramafic substrate at an altitudinal range 0-900 m asl. This species does not seem globally threatened. Psychotria cardiochlamys is considered Least Concern (LC).

Threats


This species does not seem globally threatened. However some subpopulations may be threatened by mining activities: Tiebaghi (SLN), Kopeto (SLN), Goro (VALE).
