in Northern ProvincePycnandra petiolata is an edemic shrub largely distributed across Grande Terre in New Caledonia, from Ile Yande to Ile des Pins. It is found in shrubland on ultramafic substrate at an altitudinal range 10-700 m asl. This species is largely distributed and does not seem directly threatened. Pycnandra petiolata is considered Least Concern (LC).

Pycnandra petiolata is largely distributed across Grande Terre in New Caledonia, from Ile Yande to Ile des Pins.
Population
This species is quite common. It is known from 20-25 sub-populations.
Habitat
Pycnandra petiolata is found in shrubland on ultramafic substrate at an altitudinal range 10-700 m asl.
Threats
This species does not seem globally threatened. Some subpopulations may be threatened by uncontrolled bushfire and mining activities: Tiebaghi (SLN).
Conservation
Pycnandra petiolata is protected by legislation in Province Nord and occurs in two protected areas : Haute Dumbéa, la Dumbéa.
