Beauprea spathulifolia is a shrub or tree growing up to 8 m high endemic from New Caledonia. It is widely distributed across the Grande Terre, from the far south to the upper limit at Hienghène-Poum area as well as in Belep islands and Lifou at Loyalty islands. It mainly occurs in forests and more frequently in maquis on slope areas at an altitudinal range of 10-800 m asl. Some subpopulations may be impacted by uncontrolled bushfires and mining activities at Goro, Koniambo, Nakéty-Edouard, Kouaoua. However Beauprea spathulifolia is very common and it does not seem to threatened. Therefore with an Area of Occupancy (AOO) and an Extent of Occurrence (EOO) equal to 268 and 10,401 km², respectively, Beauprea spathulifolia is not thought to approach the requirements for listing as threatened. It is listed as Least Concern (LC).

Beauprea spathulifolia is endemic to New Caledonia where it is widely distributed across the Grande Terre, from the far south to the upper limit at Hienghène-Poum area as well as in Belep islands and Lifou at Loyalty islands..

Population

The population size is not known. Field prospections indicate that Beauprea spathulifolia is very common and it does not seem to threathened.

Conservation

Beauprea spathulifolia is not protected by legislation in New Caledonia and it does occur in several protected areas: Barrage de Yaté, Côte Oubliée, Haute Dumbéa, la Dumbéa, Pic du Pin, Pic du grand Kaori.
