It is found in humid forest at an altitudinal range 900-1,000 m asl. This species does not seem directly threatened because of its altitudinal habitat. Oberonia fissiglossa is considered Vulnerable (VU) using criteria D2 because of its small area of occupancy (AOO) being estimated to 4 km² and the potential impact of climate change.

Conservation
Protected by legislation, this species is found in one protected area : Aoupinié. It is recommended to prospect Arago area.
