Data Deficient (DD) , assessed in 29/02/2016Myrsine kuebiniensis is an endemic shrub of New Caledonia. This species is insufficiently known. It is known of a few populations in the south of Grande Terre (Goro, barrage de Yaté, Thio, Table-Unio). It is found in forest on ultramafic substrate at an altitudinal range of 10-700 m asl. This species has been only occasionnally observed and the genus needs a taxonomic clarification. Therefore, M. kuebiniensis is assigned as Data Deficient (DD) for taxonomic and provenance reasons.
Geographical area
Myrsine kuebiniensis is an endemic shrub of New Caledonia. It is known of a few populations in the south of Grande Terre (Goro, barrage de Yaté, Thio, Table-Unio).

This species is not protected by legislation. The genus Myrsine should be taxonomically clarified in order to be able to assess the extinction risks of species.
