Geographical area
Widespread at a range of altitudes (sea level to 1,350 m) throughout the main island of New Caledonia except in the northwest.
Population
The total population is unknown; wherever it occurs it is usually localized.
Habitat
Frequent in dense humid forests on both ultramafic and schist substrates.

Conservation
This species is known from several protected areas.
