Plerandra pancheri is an endemic tree of New Caledonia widespread on the Central Chain of Grande Terre from the Koghis near Nouméa to the Col d'Amoss in Pouebo/Ouegoa. It occurs in dense humid forest on non-ultramafic substrate. With an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 6,386 km², an area of occupancy (AOO) of 148 km², and approximately 28 known subpopulations, some of which occur within a protected area, Plerandra pancheri is assigned a status of Least Concern (LC)

Habitat


This species is found in dense humid forest on non-ultramafic substrate.

Threats


No particular threat has been noticed.

Conservation


Plerandra pancheri occurs in some protected areas (Réserve de nature sauvage du Mont Panié, Réserve de nature sauvage du massif de l'Aoupinié). Dense humid forests are a patrimonial ecosystem protected by the Code de l'Environnement of Province Sud.
