in Northern ProvincePandanus letocartiorum is an endemic tree of New Caledonia, restricted to the north-east of Grande Terre. This species occurs in dense humid forest and river banks on volcano-sedimentary and ultramafic substrates at an altitudinal range of 15-700 m asl. The species does not seem threatened and 2 subpopulations occur in protected areas. Therefore, P. letocartiorum is considered Least Concern.

The species does not seem threatened.
Conservation
P. letocartiorum is protected by legislation in Province Nord. This species is found in two protected areas: Aoupinié and Mont Panié.
