in Northern ProvinceDendrobium unicarinatum is an autochthonous species distributed from the south to the north east of Grande Terre in New Caledonia. D. unicarinatum occurs in humid forest on a volcano-sedimentary substrate at an altitude range of 450 and 830 m asl. Despite having an Area of Occupancy (AOO) and an Extent (EOO) equal to 48 and 3,327 km² respectively, D. unicarinatum has no apparent threat, and is not thought to approach the requirements for listing as threatened. It is listed as Least Concern (LC).
Geographical area
Dendrobium unicarinatum is an autochthonous species distributed from the south to the north east of Grande Terre in New Caledonia. It was recently found in Pembai, Koghis, Ouane Batch, Pouébo.
Population
Population size is unknown.
Habitat
Dendrobium unicarinatum occurs in humid forest on a volcano-sedimentary substrate at an altitude range of 450 and 830 m asl.
Threats
D. unicarinatum does not seem to be threatened.
Conservation
Dendrobium unicarinatum is protected by legislation in Province Sud and Province Nord and it does occur in one protected area: Mont Panié.
