Psychotria sp. nov. "tontoutaensis" is an endemic shrub of New Caledonia, which under current taxonomic delimitation, is restricted to Basse Tontouta and Nétéa. It would occurs in forest and shrubland on various substrate at an altitudinal range 0-100 m asl. This taxon is insufficiently collected and not well known. Psychotria sp. nov. "tontoutaensis" is therefore assessed as Data Deficient (DD) for taxonomic reasons.
