It would occurs in forest on volcano-sedimentary substrate at an altitudinal range 400-1,500 m asl. This taxon is insufficiently collected and not well known. Psychotria sp. nov. "metamorphica" is therefore assessed as Data Deficient (DD) for taxonomic reasons.
