Eugenia sicifolia is an endemic shrub from New Caledonia. It is known from the region of Poya-Boulinda where it is known from three subpopulations : Pindaï, Népoui et Boulinda. It is found in dry forest on calcareous substrate and in maquis on serpentine substrate. It occurs at an altitude range of 20 and 400 m asl. The main threats are habitat quality degradation caused by recurrent bushfires and invasive species (Rusa deer (Rusa timorensis)). Its extent of occurrence (EOO) and area of occupancy (AOO) are both estimated to be of 4 km² and 4 km² while the number of locations is estimated to be three. Eugenia sicifolia is therefore assessed as Endangered (EN) with criteria B1ab(iii)+2ab(iii), with an estimated continuing decline of habitat quality.

Eugenia sicifolia is endemic to New Caledonia where it is restricted to the region of Poya-Boulinda. It is known from three subpopulations : Pindaï, Népoui et Boulinda.

The population size is not known.

Conservation
